COURT APPEARANCE FEES.
I started my activities today in the gym, God i needed to sweat it out, i love aerobics, also wished i could play lawn tennis, but no time as i have to prepare for today’s work.
Today i am drafting agreements, editing etc, also i am suppose to be preparing for a case i have tomorrow, but the client appears to be taking us for granted, at our last court sitting he refused to pay us our court appearance fees, that was three weeks ago. Normally every lawyer, would charge his/her client the following fees:
1. 1.Filling fees
2. 2. Professional fees
3. 3. Court appearance fees.
The court appearance fees is the fees paid to the lawyer for appearing in court for that day, it covers for the lawyers transport fare and feeding. Its just a little token to encourage the lawyer. My client promised to pay us and up till now has failed to do so. Bar Johnson has insisted that if the money is not paid we will not go to court. After calling the client yesterday i have promised my self that i wont call again, if i don’t get a debit alert today , we are not going to court tomorrow. We call it bye cutting!
To cut the long story short, the client did not call us so no court tomorrow. Bye
