PRE TRIAL MEETING ; 10/10/11

Today we agreed to have a pre trial meeting at the office of Bar Tijani with regards our copy right case coming up on the 12/10/11 at the federal High court. our client Ema, is present too. we are planning seriously on how to carry out our re examiantion. Ema is our client, the plaintiff in the case and our only witness. he designed the 2010 calendar for the defendant in the case called Robert Johnson Ltd. the company went ahead to use his calendar as its 2010 calendar with out seeking his permission. we filled the case at the Federal High Court, Lagos Nigeria and the defendant came up with prepared evidence to show that its thier work. we  have however noticed the loop holes in the case, we know for sure that our client designed that calendar and we need to proof to the court beyond reasonable doubt that , the calendar was actually prepared by him. the meeting lasted for exactly 2 hours. we came up with brillant ideas, questions to be asked during re examination, expected answers from Ema, our pre trial Conference went smooth, its almost as good as saying that we have won our case.

after the meeting i had to head back to my office, for another meeting with a client that came all the way from Abuja to see me. he is a soon to be retired colonel of the Nigerian Army, interested in purchasing a property i have for sale in Abuja. conincidentally he knows my dad. he opened up on a lot of issues, we talked about the okar coup, my mouth just dropped opened as he narrated his ordeal, how he spent 4 years in Kiri Kiri, how he was relaesed and sent to war zone liberia , long gist. at the end of the day we went down to business, he wants a reduction on the price etc, i promise to talk to the owner and see how we can cut a fair deal. it was really nice meeting the soon to be retired Colonel. he reminded me alot of my dad. i pray that we are able to close this deal. Ameen!

at the end of the day i am tired, exhausted from lagos movement and talking since 12pm.
